For individuals :

The TIN is called “Social Security Number (SSI Number)” and is issued by the Social Security Institute.

Format:

The TIN consists of block of digits assigned in sequence (format: 999999999, more than 1 digit).
The first digits might be omitted if they correspond to the digit zero.

For Entities :

The TIN is called “Tax Registration Number (COE)” and is issued by the Office of Industry, Handicraft and Trade or the Labour Office.

Format:

The TIN consists of 7 characters (format: LL99999).
The 2 first characters are always “SM”.
